Passed away peacefully at Te Nikau Grey Hospital after a brief illness, with loving family by his side, on October 19, 2026, aged 59. Dearly loved eldest son of the late Bill & Sharon, and Ron Smith, deeply loved brother and brother-in-law of Justin, and Fiona & Rob Seeler, loved uncle of Lucy; and Toby, Oakley, and Jonty, cherished grandson of the late Bob & Val Madden, deeply loved member of the Gladstone and Boddy families, especially Lyndall, Jason & Natalie, and Emma, Tess, Caitlin, and Tylah, a much loved nephew and cousin, a respected work colleague and friend of many.
