Guess what weka, you wanted a simple funeral, but that was so emotional!! that was an amazing tribute to your wacky way you chose. You may have thought you were not special! You were, you silly bugger… Murray and I will miss your visits and may you fly high with them up there.

A huge hug and arohanui from our whānau. My mum Thelma always talked about her cousin Stephen, and she was so pleased when he visited her from the Coast. We were all hugely appreciative of all the work that Stephen and whānau did to support the Mahuika whānau reunion and to make sure we were all connected. I was sorry not to make it to the funeral. Rest in peace Stephen, ka nui toku aroha.
