Although we didn’t know Pat, we live next to Peter and Elaine in Kaiapoi. Peter often spoke to Pat and he entertained us with stories of their younger days. My husband visited Pat in Grey Hospital last week when visiting the coast and Peter was very grateful that he spent time with him.
