Wendy, Karen and Andrea, Sorry to hear that Bede has passed on. He was a great brother in law, him and Kath took me in for 3 years after Kath’s and my mother died. 154 Gibson Quay was a great home to finish my schooling, helping out at Westland Motor’s after school, nieces to babysit on weekends, and a black 38 Dodge to ferry mates to parties. Thank-you Neil for being there for me during those years, I’ll never forget you.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Neil and my thoughts are with his family at this sad time. Neil was the long time partner in Westland Motors with my brother in law George Carter. I will always be grateful for Neil looking after our Mother Mrs Cross, when Jean and George travelled over to Christchurch to collect me from the plane from Sydney. Unfortunately our Father died during this time and Neil’s compassionate nature stood in good stead. Thank you for your kind heart.
