On Saturday July 22nd 2023, in her 97th year. Loved wife of the late Joe Michell, mother and mother-in-law of Monica and Brian Lange, Anne and Phillip Molloy and Charmaine and the late John Michell. Loved Nana of her eleven grandchildren, Tineke, Cara and Evan; Paula, Aleasha and Hilary; Layton, Brady and Ayden and the late Nathan and Sheydin. Loved great-nana of her eleven great-grandchildren. Loved sister of Pat and David Grieve (both deceased), Jim and Marlene Lincoln (both deceased), Brian Lincoln (deceased), Loretta and the late Gavin Innes. A loved aunt of her nieces and nephews.

In respect of and following Marie’s wishes, a private family service has been held, after which Marie was laid to rest with Joe at the Hokitika Cemetery.
