Joan  Cross

On Sunday October 29, 2023, at home, aged 75 years.  Cherished wife of Jim and much loved mother and mother-in-law of Barry and Caroline, Andrea and Lloyd, Graeme, and Julieanne and Aaron.  Loved Nana of her 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, a loved sister, sister-in-law, aunty, cousin and friend.  Messages to the Cross Family, 17 Beach Street, Hokitika 7810 or may be left on Joan’s tribute page at www.thompsonfd.co.nz  A service in celebration of Joan’s life, will be held at the Hokitika Chartered Club, Hamilton Street, Hokitika, on Thursday November 2, commencing at 1.00pm.  Private cremation to follow.

    Jimmy and family my very deepest sympathy to you all at this very sad time. Joan was such a proud wife, Mum, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. I know she will be missed by you all. I have wonderful memories of Joan starting in the maternity hospital when we both gave birth to our youngest daughters. Playcentre at Cobden not forgetting those darn floods.     Joan was a delightful, fun-loving person to work with, during the 15 + years.at the OT Seaview Hospital. Forever I will remember the time you and Carol dressed me up as Peter Rabbit for the Christmas Bunny show. All your family will have memories like this to enjoy. Our sympathies to Jim and whanau.
