Janice Da Via nee Thompson, (aka, “The Chicken Lady”).

On June 16, 2023, peacefully at home. Much loved partner of Des McEnaney and much loved mother of Donald and Brian. Loved and devoted nana, nana Jan and great-grand-nana of her 9 grandchildren. Messages to Des McEnaney PO Box 204 Hokitika 7842 or may be left on Jan’s tribute page at
A funeral Mass for Jan will be celebrated at Thompson’s Riverside Chapel, 88 Gibson Quay, Hokitika on Tuesday June 20, commencing at 1.00pm. Private cremation to follow.
