Garth Morgan Maisey

March 8, 2026

Passed away peacefully March 8, 2026, surrounded by his family and dear friends in Ruatapu, aged 56.
Garth was the only son of June Maisey and the late Keith Maisey of Turanga-o-moana and his 4 sisters. He was and always will be THE BEST DAD and best friend to his amazing sons Chad, Alex, and Max who helped nurse him right until his passing.
Garth put up the bravest and strongest fight against his disease, but sadly, he left this world and flew home to his dad Keith in heaven.
May you be in God's arms now Garth and having the best time with everyone over there. Love you.
A service to celebrate Garth’s life will be held in the Ross Centennial Hall, 1 Moorhouse Street, Ross, on March 13, at 1pm followed by a private cremation. The service will be livestreamed at https://www.applebox.nz/garthmaisey

To Chad, Alex, Max & family. We were so sad to hear the news of your Dad’s passing. He was a top bloke & great neighbour. We will miss seeing his smiling face & having a yarn. No doubt you have lots of support, but if you ever need anything, including a listening ear, we are just across the road. Thinking of you all & sending love. RIP Garth, enjoy the beer & catch ups up there.
