I have always considered Ted to be a true friend having known him for 60 years from his time at Franz Joseph, Motueka and when he rang me two days before he passed away. The coast is a very special place as are the individuals who farm it. Today they talk about kindness, looking after one another and generosity of spirit. Ted you had this in spades long before it became trendy.

Thinking of you all sorry I cannot make your funeral my friend.

Condolences to you and your families Kevin, Lorraine and Russell. Ted was a wonderful man, always had a bright smile and infectious laugh when we would visit with Mum and Dad. I can only imagine the noise there would be with the reunion with Dad, Pat, John Dixon and all the other iconic West Coast people who have gone before him.

Teddy! You left us without saying good bye! What a wonderful guy you were! Always laughing and enjoying life to the fullest. Make sure you keep that glass of whisky full and ensure you have plenty for the old man also! (Phil Lusty). Plenty of scallop stories to tell I bet!
The four of you can now get back to business of those great road trips you use to do together!
    RIP Ted.
