To all the Jackson family, so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing, a much respected man in the community and an extremely long serving servant of the A&P society, my first memories though are of coming up from Waitaha Valley and going to the Dairy Company store and meeting Dave and he always remembered who we were even though we would only be there once every 3 months or so, a special person in the community.

Such extremely sad news. Uncle David was an encyclopedia of knowledge which is now lost. He was a true gentleman who loved his family and the West Coast. His knowledge of West Coast farming and forests was incredible. Today we have lost a legend 💔.
