I was so saddened to hear of Chris’s passing. My memories of Chris go back more than 45 years to our Air Force days in New Zealand, such a special time in our lives and one I still remember with so much fondness.

Chris and his family became wonderful friends to Jerry and me, and our friendship became even more special when Chris became Jaime’s godfather. Although the years and miles eventually separated us, those friendships and memories were never forgotten.

With Jerry gone now too, hearing of Chris’s passing brings back so many memories of those younger days in New Zealand and the wonderful times we shared. How quickly all those years have passed.

I feel very fortunate that our lives crossed and that Chris became a part of our family’s story. He will always be remembered with great warmth and affection.

My heartfelt sympathy and love to Chris’s family.

So sorry to hear of Chris’s passing. Chris was a good friend of all of our USAF members assigned at the Christchurch Airport in the late 70s and early 80s. Chris and many New Zealanders were very friendly and helpful toward our group, leaving us with fond memories of New Zealand.
