Our condolences to all the family. Thinking of you at this very sad time. I have special memories of often chatting to Anne while shopping in NW.
Annes love of local history was inspiring, I learned so much from her. Time spent with Anne was full of laughs, her dry, laconic sense of humour and wry observations always brightened my day. RIP Anne, so glad you were part of my life. Xox
Fond memories of cousin Anne when we lived in Hokitika. Sorry for loss, thinking of you.
I am thrilled to have know Anne, so savvy, cool, charming and what a great sense of humour. She was a gift in my life as well as a gift to Hokitika and to the West Coast, which she knew so well and loved so much, and with such laconic good humour. With sadness, regret and a laugh.
A good friend and historical research companion, Anne helped me navigate West Coast archives, both with personal and work related research. Her archival work for the NZ Forest Service and DOC was significant, and contributed greatly to how many historic places were interpreted and managed. Always with wit and a sense of the dramatic, I spent many enjoyable times traversing the streets of 1860s Hokitika with Anne. Rest at peace now Anne, I was blessed to have had you in my life.
Im very sorry to hear this. Anne was a great help to me when I began researching West Coast history and was always insightful and so interesting.
Sad to hear on Anne passing. Loved her personality and humor. Thinking of you at this time
Aunty Helen (Annes sister) Chris, Julie-Anne and our families send our love, prayers and condolences to you all. Thinking of you x
We love Anne! What a special, unforgettable person. Her wit and sense of humour were second to none, and her faith a deeply personal one. We are the richer for knowing her.
I had the great pleasure of working with Anne for NZFS and then DOC during 1983-1989. She was an excellent historian and archivist with a wicked sense of humour. My condolences to her family and friends. Arohanui. I can only Tautoko Jackie Breens apt words.
