On July 6, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by her family, after a short illness. Devoted wife of Ray, loved daughter of the late Alvilda and Allan Cron. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Anne and the late Peter Quirk, Allan (Bill) Cron, Paul and Glenys Breeze and Ann and Dinny Pugh. A very special aunty and second mum to Janna and Peter, Brayden, Daniella and Nathan. A good friend of Vicki and adored mum of Sam the dog. A special thank you to the Palliative Care Nurses, Hokitika District Nurses, Viv Simkin, Anne, Janna, Glenys and Ann. A service to celebrate Alvilda’s life will be held in the RSA Rooms, 22 Sewell Street, Hokitika on Monday July 10, commencing at 1.30pm. Following the service Alvilda will be laid to rest in the Lawn Section of the Hokitika Cemetery.

Alvilda will be very missed. I will always remember our Monday and Tuesday talks. Thinking of all the family and Janna I will always be there for you when you need me.
