7/8/2000 ~ 24/8/2016 tragically taken from us, River was the dearly loved son of Brett and Sheree, a much loved brother of Wyatt, Waylon, Billy and Cash and a loved grandson of Bill and Nan Caldwell and Anne Stephens. A service to celebrate Rivers 16 years with us will be held at Seaview Hall, Seaview Terrace, Hokitika on Monday August 29 commencing at 1.00pm. Private cremation to follow.

My deepest condolences to River’s family. He was a much liked member of the year 1 Trades Academy building course at Tai Poutini Polytechnic. As his tutor I admired his spirit and his ability to get things done. Already at such a young age his attention to detail was very good which was reflected in the workmanship of his projects. rest in peace young Man

If we could change anything and turn back time we would. River was an amazing kid! He was a hunter, animal lover, craftsman, a good mate, was a cheeky little bugger at times, but he had a big heart and was smart, outgoing rough and ready.
Such a hugely devastating loss to his family and this world. Words cannot describe this tragedy. An awesome young man taking far to soon.
