Due to current MOH restrictions on large gatherings, Pat’s service will be private and invitations personally extended by family.
A service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held at the All Saints Church, Stafford Street, Hokitika on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020, commencing at 11 am. Following the service, Pat will be laid to rest in the lawn section of the Hokitika Cemetery.

Oh wow I remember Pat well when working at the hospital, walking his dog and singing out loud in public. But if an icon round the town he will be missed.
Pat Great m8 will be sadly missed. Remember all the good time’s in our younger days with the racing crowd and when you came and stayed with us. I even rode a horse for u and we were still goin good friends. RIP Friend.

I retired from Grey.Hospital 2 years ago after 49 years Always enjoyed having Pat assist my team …nothing was a problem When Pat moved into flat in Shakespeare St around the corner would often call in Took him large whitebait sanwich in Granger house 2 weeks ago I imagine he will have met St Peter with his favourite saying

I went to St Mary’s School with Paddy, when I was very young, lived just down the road from his family, spent every day there, myself and brother were best friends, RIP my friend.

I have known Pat since I was 12 and in 60 now. We lived with Russell Olds.
We visited you each time we came south. We so enjoyed each one especially Russell’s 90th birthday.
