Peacefully at Greymouth Hospital on Saturday December 31, 2016. Aged 95 years.
Dearly loved wife of the late Jack, loved and treasured mother and mother in law of Hellen and Kerry (Greymouth) and the late Bill Morris, Jeanette and Bevan Sands (Brisbane), Karen Gardiner (Christchurch), John and Joanne (Woodstock), Richard and Shirley (Kaniere). Much loved nana of Andrea and Hamish, Michelle, Lisa and Gina, Amanda, Nicole and Aaron, Shaun and Hannah, Ashleigh, Hayley and Morgan, her five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Loved sister of the late Jessie Mettrick and a loved aunty of all her nieces and nephews. Messages to the Gardiner Family, 124 Kaniere Road, Hokitika 7811. A service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, corner of Stafford and Bealey Street, Hokitika, on Wednesday January 4, commencing at 1.00pm. Following the service Jean will be laid to rest with her husband Jack in the Lawn Section on the Hokitika Cemetery.
