When I think of Mr Meldrum I can only but smile and laugh. He was a pretty cool house form teacher. Firm but fair and I may have been on the receiving end of a talking to now and again but he always said his piece and moved on.
I did alway wonder if he knew what each and every key on his key ring was for, he did have quite the collection.

Condolences & love to all family & friends. I have fond memories of Mr Meldrum as my Tasman houseform teacher & walking down the hallway with keys rattling. As has been mentioned he was firm but fair. I too may have had to be told off a few times by him during “drop everything & read” with a slap of a ruler on the desk. Often with a grin he tried hard to conceal. RIP Mr Meldrum.

Sam will always be rembered as a wonderful team member and friend. He was in the1968 team, and captain of the 1969 team. He was also a member of the 1st XI cricket team.

In subsequent years Sam was the glue that held us together for reunions and for one on one get togethers. Always with an infections smile, enthusiasm and unquestionable loyalty it was always fun in his company.

Thank you Lois for your hospitality and for keeping us in the loop in recent times.

Have great memories of being under the control of Sams basketball whistle.
His adjudication with that whistle was very firm and fair and would not suffer on court feedback.
His interpretation of the rules was always exact, he had a deep knowledge of the game.
He also served as chair for the basketball association for a good number of years.
I have appreciated having known Sam during those years.
