Mary Anderson Howat

April 23, 2025

Passed away peacefully, in the loving care of Allen Bryant Lifecare, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in her 97th year. Proud daughter of the late Bob and Laura Anderson (natives of the Shetland Islands), loved wife of the late Colin Howat, treasured mother of Susan, and Drew (deceased) and loved mother-in-law of Ian Hustwick, and Liz Sawkins. A long and loving life well-lived in our community, Mary will be sadly missed. Messages to Sue Hustwick, PO Box 95, Hokitika 7811, or can be left on Mary’s tribute page at www.thompsonfd.co.nz. Our grateful thanks go to Allen Bryant Life Care, Dr Anna and their wonderful staff, for their years of affectionate and professional care for our darling Mum. In accordance with Mary’s wishes a private cremation has been held and a gathering of friends will be held at a later date.
