Joyce Sweetman (nee Barrow)

Passed away peacefully at Allen Bryant Rest Home, Hokitika, surrounded by her loving family on February 6, 2025, aged 92. Dearly loved wife of Kevin, deeply loved mum and mother-in-law of Graham & Elspeth, Michael & Roxanne, and Marie & Mark Keenan, cherished Nana and Granny of Neville, and Phillip; Kate, and Colin; Logan, Connor, and Brydie, loved great granny of Adam, loved sister and sister-in-law of Avis & the late Albert Fairhall, and Peter & Shirley Almond, loved member of the Sweetman family, a loved aunty, cousin and a loyal, treasured friend of many.
The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff of Allen Bryant Rest Home and Grey Hospital for their genuine care and support with special thanks to Dr Anna Dyzel, Westland Medical Centre and the District Nurses. Messages to 194 Rolleston Street, Hokitika 7810. In accordance with Joyce’s wishes a private family service has been held and Joyce laid to rest at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Gladstone.
