We appreciated the work Eric did in his time in Brightwater.
I was very sad to hear this. Eric was a big figure in many of our lives growing up in Hokitika.
He donated so much of his time to our sporting education. He was a fine athlete himself in his youth which you could still see in the way he walked and moved even in his latter years. He was a true gentleman. I admired him enormously and was very fond of him.
He will be very sadly missed.
Thinking of the Walker family and remembering a great man..
