Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to meet Durham in person however, I didn’t have to go far to see that his reputation proceeds him. Not only has he left a legacy with Aratuna Freighters but his leadership and commitment to the wider community was also ably demonstrated during his tenure as Westland Mayor.
I appreciate there are good things happening in the transport industry now however, I also genuinely believe our industry is worse off as we lose people like Durham, real characters and pioneers.
    Take care.
