Albert Leonard Rawlings

On 2 May 2025 at Allen Bryant Ultimate Care, aged 96.
Loved son of the late George and Lilian Rawlings. Loved brother and brother in law of Mavis and Bob Scott, Edna and Herb Schroeder, George, Edwin (Nobby) and Rita, Morris, Herbert, Margaret and Peter Webb and Des – all deceased. Loved brother in law of Merle Rawlings. A much loved and respected Uncle and friend.

A service to celebrate Albert’s life will be held at St Andrew’s United Church, Fitzherbert Street, Hokitika on Thursday 8 May at 11:30am. Following the service Albert will be laid to rest in the Lawn Section of the Hokitika Cemetery.

    Sorry to hear the passing of Albert. We met him through his brother Des (deceased) our good family friend. Rest in peace Albert.

    Worked with Albert in the former Department of Lands & Survey located in the old Government Building during the 1970’s.
    Albert was a good Kiwi bloke who always gave of his best. Sad to read that Albert is no longer with us.

    So sad to hear of Albert’s passing, he was a true gentleman, my first boss in the accounts department at Lands and Survey, I used to see him frequently down the street, and was so 8 pressed when her learnt to drive after he retired. A great man.
