    Dear Cousins,

Val will be well remembered. The few times I spent with her she was vivacious and highly intelligent. I adored her stories of overseas experience and she was a generous hostess.
I’m sure you will celebrate her life beautifully.
Much love from Terry Jenny and family.

Will miss Valerie, I know Jacques (the cat) will miss her more. My condolences to Valerie’s family. We are connected to the source, and to the source we become when we are no longer of this human form, I will see you in the sunsets and the sunrises, in the whipping of the wind and the smattering of the rain, you will always be Valerie, always.

Sending our deepest sympathies to you all. I have such fond memories of Val in the Hokitika dramatic society, she had such a fabulous voice

Valerie & I worked and played for many years when she worked in NYC. We remained friends when she returned to NZ and I eventually visited her there. We wrote and exchanged fotos and called each other by phone throughout the years. I saved all her cards and letters because she was such an expressive writer. She went to the heart of the matter and was fearless in holding her own opinions. I always respected and loved her for that. I knew she was I’ll and I feared the worst when I hadn’t heard from her this year. I decided to find her on Google. My heart broke. I know she is in a far better place free from all her ills. At the best of times she lived life to the fullest and now she may rest in peace. – Mary Castro – Hampton Bays, NY
